New IPON Portal coming soon to serve you better
Intellectual Property Ontario (IPON) is preparing to launch a new one‑stop online portal to make it easier for innovators to apply for and access trusted intellectual property (IP) support and services.
The new IPON Portal will offer Ontario innovators a streamlined application process, clearer program navigation and enhanced access to services, such as IP funding. The portal is designed to simplify the user experience and better support innovators at every stage of their IP journey.
“The launch of the new IPON Portal marks an important step in improving access to high‑quality IP support across Ontario,” said Cheryl Nicholson, Chief Operating Officer at IPON. “By bringing applications, services and updates into one place, we’re making it easier for innovators to get the support they need, when they need it.”
As part of this transition, IPON’s application form will be temporarily unavailable for approximately six weeks. Therefore, those interested in applying for IPON services who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply now. Once the transition begins, new applicants will be placed on a waitlist until the transition is complete. In the interim, innovators are welcome to sign up and be notified once the application process reopens. The apply page will remain up to date and reflect the current status (open or waitlist).
