Snapshot Report: Mining Technology Patents 

This report provides a snapshot of the global patent landscape for the mining technology sector with a particular focus on stages of mining, critical minerals and support services. This report focuses solely on the application area of electric vehicles (EVs) and integrated circuit (IC) chips. Due to the correlation between patents and economic indicators, patent landscape reports reveal important information such as filing strategies, sector competitors, economic opportunities, as well as potential risks in a given sector. 

This report identifies opportunities and risks for Canadian businesses and investments in the mining technology sector by analyzing the current state of patenting activities, identifying potential technology gaps and providing actionable recommendations that both industry and policymakers can adopt in their IP strategies.
